Notice to authors

1. The Journal of Outdoor Recreation Study is an academic journal published by The Outdoor Recreation Association of the R.O.C. This journal publishes studies covering outdoor recreational research and practical techniques, and welcomes scholars local or abroad to submit their research.
2. Submissions to this journal should not have been previously published in other journals. Author(s) assume full responsibility for the originality of their work.
3. There is no submission fee for articles, but if an article is published, the author will be responsible for paying a fee of NT$ 2,000. Please transfer the publication fee via Taiwan Post: account: 11988709 (Username: The Outdoor Recreation Association of R.O.C.). Please mail the revised submission with the scanned receipt file along with it.
4. Review process tips: All submissions will be sent to two reviewers by the editor committee, and will be sent to a third reviewer if necessary. Results of the reviews are divided as follows: accepted, accepted after revisions, re-review after revisions, and rejected.
    

5. The revised manuscript should be re-submitted within one month of return to the author. An overdue notice will be issued after the month has expired to inform the author(s) to return the revised manuscript within one week. The author(s) must return the revised manuscript within this time limit; otherwise, the author will be notified that the paper has been rejected. Authors with any special circumstances should take the initiative to contact the Editorial Board.

6. Once the manuscript has been notified as "near acceptance" by this journal, authors must submit an English extended abstract of 1,000-1,200 words. An official acceptance letter will be issued upon approval of the extended abstract. The English extended abstract must accurately correspond to the main text and provide a concise presentation to facilitate reference and citation by non-native readers.

6. After a manuscript has been accepted for publication, the author(s) will be required to submit the final version of the manuscript and a Microsoft Word source file. Author(s) are required to review the typeset proofs and to mark all the necessary corrections. Modifications for typesetting are limited to typographical errors. Typos, author typographical errors, and other changes are subject to a NT$100 per page charge.

8. If a manuscript is accepted, the copyright in the article shall be held exclusively by the Outdoor Recreation Association of R.O.C. After the article has been published, the author(s) will receive an electronic file (PDF). The author(s) retains the nonexclusive copyrights to reprint the article in print collections of the author’s own writing and in teaching by the author. If the author(s) wants to reprint or reproduce the article under any circumstances, then written consent from the Association is required, and the journal volume and issue number are needed to be noted in the article.

9. Manuscript length should be less than 25 pages of text. If an article is more than 25 printed pages, the author(s) will have to pay extra charge of NT$1,000 per page. For complete manuscript preparation and reference formatting, please refer to the “Instructions for Authors”.
