Instructions for Authors

1.  The journal examines submissions anonymously.

Please do not include any information regarding the author(s) in the submitted PDF file(s).

2.  Submission requirements:

a.  Chinese title, Chinese abstract, Chinese keywords;

b.  English title, English abstract, English keywords;

c.  Main body in either Chinese or English (Introduction, material and methods, results, conclusion, and comments);

d.  References.

3.  Abstracts should be no more than 300 words in both Chinese and English. Please use 5 keywords at most in both Chinese and English. In addition, please avoid repeating words from the title in the keywords.

4.  Format:

a.   Please use standard word processing software to prepare your submission. File format should be A4 portrait and font size 12. Use single line spacing for Chinese and double line spacing for English. Figures and tables should be black-lined on a white background. Photos should be original (if there is a need for color printing, author(s) will have to pay an extra fee).

b.  Numbering sequence for Chinese should be: 壹、一、(一)、1.、(1; for English, it should be: I、(I)、A、(A)、a、(a)、i、(i. Use Arabic numerals in paragraphs.

c.   Descriptions and content for figures and tables should have both Chinese and English translations. Captions for figures should be at the bottom and titles for tables should be at the top. Label order should be Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Table 1, Table 2.

d.  References should be listed only if they are mentioned in the content, and must be marked where cited in the text. References should be grouped by language in the following order: Chinese, Japanese, and English. Please include English translations below Chinese and Japanese references, and list by author(s) last name in number of strokes (Chinese, Japanese) or alphabetical order (English). Information from the Internet should be listed in the same order according to its language.

5.  References: Please list English translations below Chinese references. In addition, format for references should conform to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed).

a.  Journal article: Last name, A. A. (Year). Title of article. Title of journal, volume number (issue number), pages.

b.  Books & research reports: Last name, A. A. (Year). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Location: Publisher.

c.   Book chapters, conference papers, research papers: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of chapter. In A. A. Editor & B. B. Editor (Eds.), Title of book (pages of chapter). Location: Publisher.

d.  Dissertation published: Last name, A. A. (Year). Title of dissertation. (Doctoral dissertation). Retrieved from Name of database. (Accession or Order Number)

e.   Dissertation unpublished: Last name, A. A. (Year). Title of dissertation. (Unpublished doctoral dissertation). Name of Institution, Location.

f.   Translation: Last name, A. A. (Year). Title of book. (A. A. Last name Trans.). Location: Publisher. (Original work published year)

g.  Newspaper: Last name, A. A. (Year, Date). Title of article. Name of newspaper, single pages take p., multiple pages take pp. 1A, 2A.

h.  Internet: Author. (Date published if available; no date if not). Title of article. Title of web site. Retrieved date. From URL.

i.   Name of books or journals should be italicized.
