The Mediating Effect of Social Capital and Cultural Interest on Sense of Place and Responsible Environmental Behavior

本研究之目的有二:第一個目的在於發展二結圳文化景觀社區居民的負責任環境行為測量模式,第二則是確認社會資本以及居民對於自身文化的興趣是否對於地方情感與負責任環境行為的因果關係具有顯著之中介效果。研究者針對二結圳周圍之居民進行問卷訪談,最後獲得362份有效樣本。分析結果顯示,居民負責任環境行為之組成構面與過去研究相似,題項相對較少。因果關係上,地方情感會直接影響社會資本與文化興趣,但無法直接預測負責任環境行為。而社會資本與文化興趣能影響負責任環境行為,且兩個概念具有顯著而不同的中介效果,據此,本研究建議相關單位未來可以分別針對社會資本與文化興趣概念之特性研擬相關之管理策略。

The purpose of this research is two-fold: the first goal is to develop a measurement model for the responsible environmental behavior of Erjie Waterway's residents; the second is to confirm whether the social capital and the residents' interest in their own culture has a significant mediation effect on the cause-effect relationship between sense of place and responsible environmental behavior. 362 effective samples were collected. The analysis results showed that the measurement model of the residents' responsible environmental behavior is a more streamlined behavior model, so that the overall causal relationship is slightly different to that found in past research. The results found that sense of place can influence social capital and cultural interest directly, but cannot predict responsible environmental behavior. However, social capital and cultural interest can influence responsible environmental behavior, thus showing that these two concepts have significant and different mediation effects. Therefore, results of this study suggest that relevant units should develop separate management strategies for environmental behavior and for the specific features of social capital and cultural interest.
